COVID-19 Information for Parents

At Sulhamstead and Ufton Nervet School we are committed to providing a safe, reassuring learning environment for the children in our care. We are carefully following Government guidelines to keep children and staff healthy, and are responding to new guidance as soon as it is given. Below are the current arrangements and this page will be updated as necessary.

Drop off and Pick up times

  Drop off Pick up
Acorn 8.35-8.45am 3.05pm
Oak 8.35-8.45am 3.05pm
Ash 8.45-8.55am 3.15pm
Sycamore 8.45-8.55am 3.15pm

If you have children with different pick up/drop off times, use the earlier time.

COVID-19 Symptoms

Staff and pupils must not come into the school if they have symptoms, and must be sent home to self-isolate if they develop them in school. All children can be tested, including children under 5, but children aged 11 and under will need to be helped by their parents/carers if using a home testing kit

  • The most important symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of any of the following:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)
  • For most people, COVID-19 will be a mild illness. However, if you have any of the symptoms above, stay at home and arrange to have a test to see if you have COVID-19 – go to testing to arrange.

PE Ash and Sycamore

We have decided that on the days when Ash and Sycamore have PE, they can wear their kit into school and all day. This is due to maximum numbers allowed in the cloakrooms at once. So on PE day, Ash and Sycamore need to wear the following:

  • School PE T-shirt with their school jumper on top. (They can also bring in a hoody for PE.)
  • Plain, dark jogging bottoms or school PE shorts or both (if they want to take off jogging bottoms for PE).
  • Ash PE – Wednesday and Thursday
  • Sycamore PE – Wednesday and Friday
