COVID-19 Information for Parents and Visitors

At Sulhamstead and Ufton Nervet School we are committed to providing a safe, reassuring learning environment for the children in our care. We are carefully following Government guidelines to keep children and staff healthy, and are responding to new guidance as soon as it is given. Below are the current arrangements and this page will be updated as necessary.

Please do not attend the site if you are isolating or have symptoms of Covid 19.

All staff, parents and visitors are required to wear a face mask in communial areas of the school and to wash or sanitise their hands on entry to the building. Visitors are welcome by appointment only.

COVID-19 Symptoms

Staff, pupils and visitors must not come into the school if they have symptoms, and will be sent home to self-isolate if they develop them in school. All children can be tested, including children under 5, but children aged 11 and under will need to be helped by their parents/carers if using a home testing kit

The most important symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of any of the following:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

For most people, COVID-19 will be a mild illness. However, if you have any of the symptoms above, stay at home and arrange to have a test to see if you have COVID-19 – go to testing to arrange.
