Together we Dream, Believe, Challenge and Achieve...
At Sulhamstead and Ufton Nervet Church of England (VA) Primary School:
Our vision is strongly rooted in Christian traditions. Our inclusive community inspires pupils to dream big and have belief, inspired by faith, with enquiring minds and a spirit of curiosity, developing creativity, integrity and resilience. We challenge ourselves through exploration, and using a broad and balanced curriculum, strive for high achievement for all.
‘What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?’ – Luke 15:4

Our mission statement is, 'Together we Dream, Believe, Challenge and Achieve'. We have have spent time exploring this statement, considering what it means and what it looks like in our classrooms, teaching and learning.
Our community all believe that children should dream, believe, challenge and achieve. Our shared vision and values are at the core of everything we do, underpinning our teaching and learning, and providing an environment which prepares our pupils to be confident, happy citizens - without even one being lost.
As a Church of England primary school, our vision is deeply rooted in strong Christian traditions. We motivate our community to dream, to be inspired by our faith, to develop happy, young people with enquiring minds, a spirit of curiosity, respect for themselves, others and the environment so that they will have the skills, resilience and adaptability to become lifelong learners ready to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
We encourage belief in ourselves through integrity, perseverance, collaboration and diversity of thought to discover, nurture and use our talents. We challenge our own and existing ideas through questioning, exploration and solving problems; building resilience through invention, providing achievement through high-quality learning experiences based on a broad and balanced curriculum whilst learning within our inspirational, invitational and inclusive Christian community.
The children decided upon 4 key learning behaviours to enable them to fulfill the vision in their learning.
